The Project.

One guitar, one hundred hands is a labour of love that is driven only by the instrument itself and nothing else.

Behind this project is George Tierney; a small-town musician, performer and organiser. He sits on the board of the Canadian Folk Music Awards and is president The Eastern Ontario Folk Music Project and The Upper Canada Folkfest.

This old guitar was bestowed upon him as a gift and is here to be shared with anyone who is interested in playing it. Like all who have been fortunate enough to play it, he instantly recognized it’s incredibly unique look feel and most importantly, sound.

With his wife Karen Atcheson, working literally hand-in-hand, they will bring this old Gibson L1 with them everywhere they can on their way to 50 players, one hundred hands and well beyond.

Enjoy the journey.
